In the fourth quarter of 2023, the top consumer finance applications in Romania exhibited diverse trends in downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at their performance:

Google Wallet saw a consistent increase in downloads, peaking at approximately 27K in mid-November. Weekly active users also rose steadily, reaching around 58K in early November before a slight decline to about 49K by the end of December.

paysafecard - prepaid payments experienced a notable growth in downloads, starting at 2.9K in late September and ending at over 6K by the last week of December. Active users followed a similar upward trajectory, increasing from 18.9K to nearly 24K during the same period.

Western Union Digital Banking had fluctuating download numbers, with a high of 5.9K in late October and a low of 1.5K in the final week of December. The app’s active users mirrored this variability, peaking at 19.4K in late October and decreasing to about 13.2K by the end of December.

Mobile Banking UniCredit showed a modest download trend, peaking at 1.7K in early November. Active users demonstrated more stability, maintaining an average of around 32K, with a peak of 34.7K in mid-November.

Monese - Mobile Money Account had relatively stable download figures, ranging from 868 to 1.6K throughout the quarter. Active users remained consistent, hovering around 6K, with a peak of 6.9K in mid-October.
